Hello beautiful! My name is Malica and I’m a speaker, web designer, self-professed gummy bear lover and the Blogger-in-Chief (B.I.C) of Finer Women Rising, a lifestyle blog that provides inspiration, tools and resources to help you live your finest life each and every day.
Finer Women Rising Is For You
To help you on the next step in your Finer Womanhood journey, we’ve created resources like the:
All created with the purpose of taking YOUR finer to the next level. I definitely suggest checking them out! I also invite you to become a Finer Subscriber, so you can start receiving my exclusive blog updates and Love Friday’s newsletter (it’s like having your own personal shopper – believe me, you’ll love it!)
I’ve lived in Laurel, MD for the past 17 years with my husband and our two sons but I’m a Queens, NY’er for life (born & raised!) My background is in web design and I get to utilize those skills daily as a User Experience designer for a large tech firm in Washington, DC and of course as a blogger for Finer Women Rising! When I’m not blogging, I’m spending time with my fam & friends, planning sorority events, watching Golden Girls reruns (listen, I love me some Blanche ok) and mentoring at Bernadette’s House, an organization that provides a safe, supportive space for teen girls in Laurel.
I love teaching women how to look, feel and live their personal best and how to use digital media strategically, pulling from my experiences as a digital brand owner, 22-year member of Zeta Phi Beta, 20 years in corporate america and Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC) coursework and numerous live and virtual speaking engagements / workshops on finer womanhood, style, wardrobe selection, online marketing and web design.
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and find out how you can have me speak at your next sorority event, youth symposium or women’s empowerment conference on wardrobe/attire, blogging or social media marketing/digital tools.
I would love to collaborate with established and emerging brands that resonate with my engaged audience of educated, tech-savvy, community-conscious and fashion-forward women of color.
